#HotAlex charms us with the squat-mic-stance, instead of (ahem) adjusting the mic’s height to be at his (ahem) length.  Sweet Ole #HotAlex adapts to the situation, and gives his thank you speech while squatting down to its level. What can’t this man do?

Well, in keeping with the main theme of this blog, to utilize the shower gif as often as possible we move on to display yet another example of #HotAlex’s conformability via his appetite for cleanliness.

If we’re already forgiving the Canadian-born Fillion, then we have to at least ponder the possibility of Alexander Skarsgård. The Swedish actor has achieved a cult following for his role as Eric Northman on “True Blood,” but it’s his performance as an American soldier in “Generation Kill” that solidifies his ability to play Steve Rogers.

Furthermore, the actor is already on Marvel’s radar due to his near miss with “Thor.” Maybe the Marvel Studios bigwigs thought him better suited for a shield than a hammer. Judging by his physique, his fan base, his acting ability and his past experience with Marvel, I think Skarsgård has a better chance of becoming Captain America than some might give him credit for.

This got your teacher thinking of course about seeing HotAlex in tights  how versatile HotAlex really is. 

Am I Thor? Yes, yes I am, indeed.

Not only has HotAlex been suggested to play comic heros like Thor, but despite his swedish ancestry, he has at least been discussed for taking the pen-ultimate patriotic role of Captain America.

It doesn’t stop there….HotAlex has played a diverse amount of roles with clothes both on and off. Let’s look at them, shall we?

There’s one of my favs, as well as the favorite of many –> HotEric from TrueBlood.   Who else pulls off light and mysterious with dark and brooding better than our HotAlex? No one.

But before these two Hollywood Roles, HotAlex did a variety of other things.

There’s the sweet little Alex pic, that I have no idea where it came from…but I am thinking may be our future child from the movie, Hunden som log. (I have no idea what movie this is from, and merely guessed, but if I am right, someone please tell me) I tell ya, the dichotomy between that sadness of little boy Alex, versus the brooding sexyness of HotEric,….amazing. Yes, I realize he grew up quite a bit between the two pictures, but still, adaptability…it shows. Still not believing me…

The ultimate example of this man’s adaptability, of course is shown in one of his first USA, Hollywood movies, Zoolander.

Finally, the most promising display of adaptability of HotAlex, is of course his comfort ability in being nakkid. Well, you know how your fond teacher most likes to display HotAlex’s sexy dripping wet bod naked adaptability…. Yup, you’ve guessed it.

In the Swedish mag AftonBladet, as kindly posted on HotAlex’s usual source Alex is asked about his TrueBlood character HotEric.  In his response, he explains the following:

“You can not act sexy”
He denies that he deliberately would make himself sexy in ‘True blood’. “You can not play sexy. It would be ridiculous. If you think about it while filming it’s distracting. – I hate vain actors. You just have to try to be present in the moment. You can not think about how your hair looks.

However, what Alex fails to understand is that thinking these exact thoughts and being present in the moment makes you sexy! Despite his having sexy locks, Alex not caring about how his hair looks  makes him sexy!

Alex, I am here to tell you, you cannot escape who you are, even when you aren’t trying to act Sexy. Even the most crazy ass pics, I can find of you, still show how effing sexy you are. It’s like you’re a sexy envelope of hotness just waiting to be opened. You can’t stifle the sexy, it just can’t happen.

Alex is of course correct in his assumption about not being able to “play sexy”. One’s trying to be something they are simply not, cannot sexy make. However, being something that you just plain are cannot be helped. If I was more metaphysical like my friend at #KSWI, I could go on and on. But I am not that guy, even though he is genius.

Nevertheless, to emphasize this lesson, of course I will pelt you with the sexy. Just try to find the omission of sexy in these photos.

In this pic we have Eric’s long haired look. Many have commended said look, others cannot take the long haired look, I myself, would like to rub my fingers through the lustrous locks of sexy.

And another look, from our sexiest man in the world, the shaved buzz, military look. The absence of the luscious locks is well made up for with HotAlex’s kick ass complete military look. Now, nothing says hotness like a man that can change up his look so effortlessly, but still pull off sexy. From long to buzzed cut, HotAlex looks delicious.

Yep, that’s the one and only Rhett Butler…and his mint julep.  Of course.

A man of Captain Butler’s status–charm, swagger and passion, all wrapped up with the most consumate of manners–is made, not born. Merely being raised south of the Mason Dixon line does not automatically permit the male of the species to attach the label, “southern gentleman” to his name. This title must be earned.

The Swedish born and raised Alexander Skarsgard has earned the title.  He is a southern gentleman.

Who can forget this gem?

In a show which features lead cast members originally hailing from locales such as New Zealand, Australia, and England, it’s the Swede who nails the southern accent.  Brilliantly, I might add.

If, in my infinite wisdom and knowledge of Mr. Skarsgard, I did not know he was born and raised in Sweden, this video would’ve had me completely flummoxed:

Are you kidding me?  Dude’s from Sweden but talks as if he was raised in Mississippi.  Amazing!  He even has the “I’s” down pat.  Perfectly.  (A southerner says “Ah,” not “eye,” when referring to oneself.)  This is a man who takes his acting career very seriously.  (Yes, he trained with a vocal coach before filming Straw Dogs this summer.  The vocal coach is obviously good at his or her job. But look at the talent he or she is working with.)

What makes me an expert on southern speak?  Being born and raised in Georgia, two Mississippi born and raised parents.  Having lived only in southern states for my entire 34 year existence.  My marriage to a southern born and bred gentleman.  Need I continue?  I didn’t think so.

It’s not merely the mastery of a southern accent.  Oh no, our Alexander is clearly at ease in the South.  Witness:

Oh, he’s just hanging out in Louisiana…in front of a “Co-Cola” sign. And yes, this is the most beautiful picture. Ever.

We’ve also been privy to the manner in which he treats the paparazzi.  But that’s another story for another post…

“Our Alex,” as we like to call him ’round here, is similar to that proprietor of chic housewares,  the fabulous Ikea.  Both Alexander and Ikea had their humble beginnings in Sweden, yet both have settled comfortably into life in these United States.  We southerners love our Ikea.  And we love our Alex.  He’s an honorary southerner.  We completely and gladly claim him.  And that faux accent of his, which I’d rather enjoy him to use on a regular basis.  Is all I’m sayin’…

So…how to be a southern gentleman?  Oh, Alex has mastered this lesson.  I give him an A+.  I’d  like to give him more, but you know…I’m married…he may or may not be dating Marilyn Manson’s ex-girlfriend.  Whatever.

As you can probably guess, Alexander Skarsgard is such a man. Not only does he often talk about his home land when questioned by various paparazzi or in interview situations, he even brings attention to Swedes noting their ever love of being naked on a regular basis. Let’s look at the helpful exhibits.

Exhibit #1

In an Article In a Swedish Jornal http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/article5652523.ab and translated by http://skarsgardfans.wordpress.com, Alex had this to say and feel about his homeland:

Stockholm is so incredibly beautiful, when you have been away for long you get tears just by looking at it.

Now I will go home to dad and eat crayfish (Swedish summer tradition), meet my siblings and then I will head down to Babylon at Medis and have some beers with my mates. I didn’t think I would have time to see anyone so this is a fantastic bonus.

As you can tell, Alex seems very touched by the landing on his home soil and as anyone would after being away for sometime, has already made plans with friends and family. Feeling a kinship to your homeland makes a man seem more real and feel more real, and be more sexy.

Exhibit #2

A man that has such a defined connection with his homeland, family and friends, most definitely makes him sexy, but Alex further displays this sexy kinship he has with all things Sweden while being barraged by  Barcelona Soccer fans at a Soccer Game in LA.  Alex shows up wearing the other teams colors and must shout back to the soccer fans:

Skarsgard tried to explain. He mentioned that as a Swede, he was excited to be there to support Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swedish player recently signed by FC Barcelona.

“Soccer in Sweden is like a religion,” Skarsgard said, “Growing up in Sweden, in the south of Stockholm, we supported Hammarby.”   source

Even when a crazy Soccer fan mob screams at Skarsgard for supporting his home-team, he sticks behind them and stands his ground. That loyalty to his team and homeland, along with his remembering his roots, makes him sexy.

Exhibit #3

Finally, and most importantly we get to Exhibit #3. Alex’s love of being Swedish, which causes his love for being naked (his own words, almost). Although, the love of being naked will assuredly become a separate lesson in and of itself…the attached Youtube interview video, has Alex attributing his homeland for this naked love.

So who wants to go to Sweden with me? I can go for some homeland loving, crayfish eating, soccer loving, naked dudes, and one especially who is the sexiest man in the world.
